Well i have just got a new laptop, first laptop, and it has a built in webcam.....?

so yeah, the webcam is built into the computer. so it should be installed already yeah? but when i go on msn, or just a webcam thing to take picture or something etcccc, my webcam isnt connected? does anybody know how i can connect it to the computer so i can go on webcam on msn etc? i need help. ive tried but i cant do this without help. if it helps my laptop is a advent 4489. its one of those little laptops :) help please?
