Marine ex bf and im pregnant new laws?

Ok well i just recently found out im pregnant. well my ex bf is in DEP( delayed entry program) he hasnt been through boot camp yet. He told me today that if i have the baby and were not married that they will take him out of DEP and he could no longer join. Ive told him id do it for him but he doesnt think its an option. So im wondering if he made it up in hopes ill have an abortion? or if it really is a recently ped law. Any help would be great.
