Can rats groom off nits from lice? are some nits dormant\dead?

hmmm. i think the best thing to do would be go to the vet and get the stuff to put on them... my rats had mites and i went to the doctor and the stuff cost 10 bucks... and it took care of it in about 5 days! or just thoroughly wash all the cage stuffs and give them baths as well... i really don't know, i haven't had this problem personally... so i don't know exactly why i am answering it... hope i helped a little bit at least
